Few Sightings of F cars in Tokyo today

Thought I'd mention that I saw few Ferraris today, ...blue 550 Maranello, white 430 spyder w/ red top, white California. Not an F car but also saw a Maybach, big and long. Too many others not even worth mentioning. Maybe I should carry a camera with me at all times to take pics. w/ smiles Jimmy

Jimmy: What did you think of the Maybach in person? They look great in photos, but haven't seen one yet on the road...

you must not get up to manhatten. I always see them in midtown. Luckily, i also have a dealer about two miles away. One word. Big.

I understand Hong Kong has been bubbly lately and that there are lots of crazy cars there too. w/ smiles Jimmy

Actually, I do see Maybach now and then (maybe the same car), but yesterday, it was parked along street with a driver waiting inside. Just looking at it, it is a very large and very long car, like a tank. Impression is a very well made (handcrafted) limousine. I think one would look stupid if you are driving yourself. Defintely, to be drivien by someone else.
I do see the Phantom (RR or Bentley ? not sure which) quite often too. Similar cars, large and stately, defintely for presidents, CEO, COO, whatever. Must weigh like tanks.

Since I jokingly - and I mean jokingly - referred to the 612 as a La-Z-Boy on wheels, I would not be happy in a Maybach. And, with the economy being slow, I had to put our chauffeur on leave...

Thanks for the descriptions, Jimmy!

This morning, I took my 275 to work and as I was driving down the tollway at around 150kph/ 4000rpm neighborhood thru the passing lane,...up front to the left a red car entered my vision. That car was cruising maybe 90kph or so (speed limit is 80kph max). Very soon, I was in the range to overtake her and noticed that it was yet another California in action. Actually, I have seen a few lately. Well, the truth is, I was too busy managing my 275 to think more than registering in my memory. It was just a fleeting encounter. w/ smiles Jimmy
