Bloody weather

Evening everyone.

Following on from last week, delivery of my F430 is now annoyingly delayed, but only due to the weather...

I mean, its ready for me to collect, but who the hell wants to drive home your previously heated showroomed Ferrari in 18 inches of snow, ice and sludge!

At this rate, I might get her home about May!

Argh! Bloody English weather.

That is painful Thorpey. I suggest you camp out in the showroom and wait for the thaw.

Had a very unnerving experience today driving the Aston through the snow here. Not nice, and almost very expensive. I think you are making the right decision to hold off.

Can't be easy though!!!

Do you wash all the grit and dirt off the car the same day or just leave it?

I imagine it should be washed off that day. Mine is currently covered in it though....

mines been mildly covered in grit salt since saturday as i haven't had the time to get it washed. also i'm a little concerned about it being in a freezing garage, as it's meant to go down to -6 tonight. I hope it will be fine.

Dear Thorpey,

Go over to the dealer, hand him a fine bottle of champagne (may be excluded or downgraded to a decent whiskey depending on your feel on the situation), give him the calm but decisive order to transport your car on a covered lorry to your garage, emphasizing the order with an eye expression that matches the verbal order.

That car belongs to your garage, now!
Good luck,

Thorpey, should you decide to drive the car over when conditions have eased somewhat - please be VERY careful. Cold tires on a damp road are not a good combination, particularly if you don't know the car that well yet.

Best of luck - it's a bit frustrating but now you know how we owners feel!

Jazzy O is right.

I'd wait until your weather clears before attempting to drive the car.

Last thing you want is a major surprise.

Sorry to hear the bad weather, everywhere. However, the deal is done, anticipation buildup is excruciatingly, shall I say,...pleasure ? Enjoy. w/ smiles Jimmy

+1. I would ask to have it delivered on a covered truck just as soon as the ice clears off most of the roads.

Amazing how bad the weather has gotten....I was out in the F40 only last Sunday.
