It is perfectly understandable for wanting a PPI as a safety assurance. Nevertheless, it could be just as useless at times. Personally, I have never had a PPI done before and so far, I have purchased four cars from overseas (USA, Australia, France x 2) without seeing the cars in person. (Stupid, yes. Disappointment, no. Pretty much what I thought they were). Even if I had PPIs done then, I doubt the outcomes would have been much different.
