456 : License plate

I constantly like to change custom license plates on my vehicles...just so I can get a garage full of plates I'm guessing and becuase it's cheap and fun and I get tired of the ones I buy.

here's my latest for the 456, can you get it? [http://www.novaroma.org/via_romana/numbers.html]

ORIGINALLY I tried for IV V VI but someone beat me to it.

Talk about something that no-one is going to get!

C, D, L, V, I = 100, 500, 50, 5, 1.

If a lower number is in front of a higher number it means MINUS, otherwise it means PLUS.

So: -100 + 500 + 50 + 5 + 1 = 456.

P.S. I never realised I own a Ferrari DL!

I'm impressed. I had the 100, 500, & 50, but I had put the VI together to get 6 and was trying to get 45 out of the other 3 numbers. Plus never knew the rule about a lower number being in front of a higher number meaning MINUS.

Rik - can't see you getting too many compliments on the number - except from Maths professors!! But I do appreciate the enigma...

Absolutely! Today in Dublin, it rained, then sun came out, got dry, rained again, got dry, and then rained again. And it all seemed to coincide with me leaving the house and office. How interesting was that!
