Looking for my first Ferrari

Hi everyone. I am still in search of my first Ferrari! I think that I've narrowed it down to a 360 Modena - 2001-2003....Maybe a Spider. Any advice on where to look and what to look for and look out for? I'v been looking on cars.com, ebay. I really appreciate any and all feedback and advice. I just want to make the right decision because I want to keep this car for a long time! Thanks so much!

Bob,
Good choice! I've had a 360 for nearly 3 years now and couldn't recommend it more. Been very reliable (averaging 3 - 4,000 miles p/year). Extremely reasonable running costs and an absolute hoot to drive.

I went for the coupe over the spider, purely because I prefer the looks, but that's just a personal thing - I'm sure you will enjoy either version.

Good luck with the hunt.

Bob go for the Modena!

Where are you located at?

Either choice, there's a lot of knowledgeable enthusiasts keen on sharing their personal experience (PM Gcalo he knows the model well).

Hey Bob,
That's awesome. You're making me jealous! Here's a few more searches you may not know about for Ferrari's, to give you more of a range.

http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/...01&toyear=2003

http://autos.aol.com/used-list/make1...ey/range-12500

The DuPont Registry website seems to have a lot of Ferraris. These are the first two websites that popped up in googling ferraris for sale. Best of luck to you in your search, keep us updated!

Rule number 1

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! TRY SITTING IN THE CAR BEFORE YOU BRING IT HOME!!! Just bought a Boxer BBi and my FAT ars has big problem. A beautiful car that is for small people. Nobody warned me!! I will cut back the cheeseburgers and find my torch!! Good luck.....

Haha. They told my wife "if you want to lose weight, buy jeans that are too small." Adds to the motivation!

Found one!

Is there anything in particular to the 2000 360 Modena that I should check out before purchasing? Thanks!

iirc, if it has an F1 box check the newer software has been installed.

also in terms of choosing your car, sit in them, drive them and then think about when you're going to be driving it.

that'll help your choice espcially between coupe and spider.
i drive a spider and it's roof is down most of the time, is that likely to be you?
