Goodwood 2010 Dates

Just out:

2010 FESTIVAL OF SPEED
The 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed is provisionally scheduled to take place over the weekend of 2-4 July, subject to final confirmation of the rest of the motor sport calendar. It will be the 18th running of the world’s largest celebration of motoring culture and promises to be packed with action and excitement as the planet’s most glamorous racing machinery and famous drivers gather together in the beautiful surroundings of Goodwood Park. The 2010 theme is currently being finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks

2010 REVIVAL MEETING
For 2010 the unique Goodwood Revival is provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 17-19 September. The Revival is truly a magical step back in time and celebrates the halcyon days of motor racing as it used to be with all of the accompanying spectacle and glamour of the era. Competitors and spectators alike dress in period fashions with the finest sights and entertainment of the pre-1966 era for all to enjoy.

HOW & WHEN TO BOOK
As in previous years, admission to both Goodwood motor sport events will be strictly by advance ticket only, with 2010 ticket sales commencing from 1 November 2009.
For further information about the 2010 Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival visit the website or call the Ticket Hotline on +44 1243 755055.

I had such a great time at the Revival this year with the GTC (see next issue of FerrariLife Quarterly...). What an amazing event.

I think I need to go again next year. Any FL members interested?

The Revival in the company of Onno and friends was terrific. More enjoyable than the Festival of Speed for me as the Revival was all-encompassing, from most people dressing up to the sights and sounds of magnificent cars being raced. Hard. Am very keen for the Revival in 2010.

Garage
After being at the Festival 8 years in a row and then having missed the last 2 years i wonder if I could wangle a way of going next year. I usually get my jaw wired shut before I go as I was tripping over it the first 3 years!

+ 1 - I'd definitely be interested in going. Was at the FOS last year, never experienced the revival, but would be interested in either for 2010....

Sounds like we could easily get a nice group together. We should organise early - hotels and such are a nightmare if you're with a larger group. Tickets available from some time in November.

Tickets go on sale Nov 1. I am actually a member of the Goodwood Race Club so might be able to secure seats/access in the members area if any one is interested (I believe there might be a limit to how many tickets each member can order).

I am interested. It would be great to have a FLED with the Revival as part of the fun!

Boxer,

you can add me to the list for 2 tickets. Grandstand is a must (start-finish is the best), paddock access is already included EXCEPT for the GRRC-only access area. I'm not sure what you as a member will be able to arrange.

BTW - I tried becoming a member but the waiting list is rather long...

No, I didn't put myself on. I guess I should do that in any case, see what happens in future.

When I applied, it only took about 3 months to get off the waitlist.

OK, that's great. Not too long at all.
