New toy

Out driving the Modena last week and saw a trike so lord and behold I am now the owner of a recum. trike with an electric motor on the it to get me home until I can build up the leg. 2 prob however , wife loves it and need to somehow adapt the left crank to the prosth. to shorten the angle.

I had to google that combination: Soooo, is this because normal sitting on a bike is too dangerous....I'm at the point, with some neck vert [google that ] that are fused, so, I cannot lift my head up on a normal bike.....have to use a recum[biant] to have that exercise anymore....

post some pics.....gotta see the Ital design scenario.

Will post some pictures as soon as get the trike back from my prosth. as may need to alter left crank from 170mm to 140mm, however if you would like to see a variety right now go to utahtrikes.com . Mine is the Terra path with the 36 volt lithium battery,BionX power system,Schlumpf high speed drive etc. Some really neat video on the site. An all carbon fiber model capable of some real speed is shown. Mine is geared for between 35 and 40mph as installed 9 speed cassette rear, front gearing 27 to 67.5. Will be some time before I can even spin and doubt without the motor any real speed as leg is really weak. With the Prosth. yesterday and am planning a carbon fiber leg, titanium shaft and carbon foot with the Ferrari Scuderia imbedded in the sleave for something extra. The tike setup is good for cardio exercise esp. with roller setup for indoors as the weather worsens. Posture is such should be easy on your back and neck. Wife who has had lot of neck and back issues loves it and is now doing few miles per day with no issues. Shes already talking about bithday. Maybe if things go right I can convince her she needs the carbon fiber setup!!
