I looked at and test drove a 1990 348ts 13000 miles 1 owner car seems to have all service records Is there anything i should really be concerned about with owning a 348 ? I own a GT500 1967 now I m more familure with owning Muscle cars but want to move in a different direction. Any thoughts

I would certainly want to know why a compression test was done!

A Ferrari is just a car.

I do all my own maintenance.

If you are capable, competent, and careful, you can do your own.

You do need a workshop manual, however, and I have one for the 348.

You are certainly welcomed to a copy.

+1 on Gcalo's comments. If you are a skilled mechanic, you should be able to do most if not all the work yourself.

Cam belt service is not related to a compression check. No need at that time.

It's more critical to check for TDC and to check the timing marks.

You might want to inquire why a compression test was done.

# owners is irrelevant if it's a decent car. I would bet there are extremely few one owner 348's around!

However with a major service done in 2002 it means another belt service at minimum is now due.

You should be able to negotiate that cost in the sale.

If the car looks like a good car don't run away. You may find other cars may need more than this one!
