F430 Sacrificed to Avoid Boy Riding Bike

There’s no better feeling than saving a young boy’s life, even at the expense of seeing your own Ferrari taking a dip into a lake.

That was the scene earlier this week when the owner of a fabulous Ferrari F430 narrowly avoided hitting a young boy on a bicycle while driving along Lake Oakdale in Dallas, Texas.

As the strapping man was taking his F430 on one of his usual joyrides along the park, at the last second, he swerved his car away from the boy and onto the not-so-inviting waters of Lake Oakdale. Half of the car’s rear ended up being submerged and when all efforts were made to try to get the F430 back to dry land ended futilely, the man relented and called in the towers. We normally don’t condone the idea of wrecking a supercar but we’re going to give this selfless man a pass. His quick instincts not only saved the young boy’s life, but he’s also earned our respect and admiration for not even thinking twice about wrecking his car just so he could save the boy’s life.

Looking on the bright side, it's been awfully hot in Dallas lately. A refreshing incident in more than one way.

if true, I certain am thankful he missed the boy.

but here is what I see

- that road looks entire open to view, so how did he get so narrowly close to a biker?

- to make that kind of swerve, he was seeming to go too fast.

- very odd angle to wind up in a miss....can't seem to figure out which direction or incident he could be avoiding to get in that spot.

just my 2 cents, but what do I know

Maybe it was a test drive and he hoped someone would float him a loan!

I see a sign pole down but no tire marks on the grass.

Was he flying?

Wait a minute.

I did not see any horses or fish.

You can see 400 horses?

Strange pictures, looks like he left it on the bank with the brake off !
Why is he still in the water ??
A friend of mine wrote off his Subaru "avoiding a fox".
Guaranteed the fox doesn't remember the incident.
Too many embarrassing crashes are blamed on avoiding things.

It is good to hear the boy was ok. A car can be replaced or fixed, but a life cannot.

I read from another source that the kid was on his way home from McDoinks and had enough fat in him to float better that the 430!

Seeing a beautiful Ferrari in that condition sure gives one a "sinking" feeling. On another note shouldn't the car be pointed into the water and not in the direction it appears in the photo's?....Mark.

Talk about the F430 looking like a fish out of water.

I bet the only thing going through the owners mind was

"Why oh why didn't I buy the wooden F50"
