I'm all pleased with myself.

I rarely even talk about my job and even more rarely boast about anything I've did but for once I thought I would since I'm all pleased.
A collegue and myself have just became the first 2 people in the UK and Ireland ever to achieve an NVQ in railway traffic controlling. For years Control centres all over have been trying to no avail.
Not only did we both get a level 2 but the City and Guilds executive came over form England personally to tell us the news and sad if anything we should have been level 3 trainers. So that's on the cards next.

As I say I very VERY rarely big myself up but I all chuffed to bits at getting this. I think it means I'm brainy at something for once

Congratulations !!! That's really good.

Is an NVQ a sort of diploma ?? *points to language barrier and the differences in qualifying (does the Q perhaps mean Qualification?) between countries

Thanks. It means National vocational qualification.
The NVQ 2 that I've achieved is = to five GCSEs at grades A*-C, BTEC first diploma. Apparently.
