Temperatures...

I was just curious to what temperatures are like where everyone is.

Thursday here is going to get up to a steamy 5 F with a windchill of -11 F.
Friday it is going to be -5 F and a windchill of -24 F....hmmm

Around Tokyo, Japan...low is about 2 cent. and high is about 9 cent. Once in a while, the high can be around 4 range. Rarely snows here. Different story north of here in the mountains. w/ smiles Jimmy

Apparently it's 20F in New York... I'm watching CNN about the Airbus ditching in the Hudson. Very good pilot being able to ditch like that. "Landing" in water is very, very hard.

Water in the Hudson seems to be chilly as well

Yea, that is absolutely crazy. He did an amazing thing by redirecting the flight into the Hudson.

What's funnier than the problem being sucking geese into the engine is all of the measures they take to prevent geese and birds from being near the airport. Apparently they play music, have dogs all around, and even have trained falcons that live near the airport to "take care of" the birds. Wow.

Snowed in London today and still is. It hardly ever snows here anymore, we used to get loads when I was growing up. I think the last major snowy winter I remember was '91-92. So we get a little bit of Snow and the airports have to close...

...I just took some pictures from a front window, actually was kind of hoping to snap some idiot coming around the corner fast and watch him/her smack into my neighbours wall - happens all the time in the dry!! A couple of real close ones tonight, but no luck yet. Still, the night is long and the idiots are plenty...
