Flight Gear?

I was wondering since there are several pilots on this forum, and people that like planes, I was wondering if anyone has used FlightGear Flight Simulator?

I love planes, and I used to fly a lot with an old version of MS Flight Sim. But I haven't played with stuff like that in at least 10 years. Probably also because the sims are so damn expensive...

This one is free. You just download it directly from their site, or you can purchase it on cd if you don't want to download the simulator. It is quite interesting. It kept me busy and out of trouble the past two days.

I was looking at the hardware requirements and I figured that I shouldn't even start the download. I've got fairly antique computers that do everything that I want them to, and games aren't high on my list of things that I need them to do so I'm not very inclined to invest in new gear just to play some flight sim. If I ever do... this one will be the first that I try though

I'm not a big gamer by any means, but this game is pretty fun. I was amazed, I put it right on my laptop and it runs perfectly. I'm more into car games (go figure).
