Official Election 2008 Thread

There has been several threads that have had posts of peoples thoughts about the US election. I know this election has been brutal, and is droning on and on and on and on.....I know that this is a subject that is normally steered clear of on this forum, because some people can have ridiculously strong opinions and they can go overboard while discussing. (not on here)

I would like to know what people think about each of the candidates.(non attacking comments of course). I will be honest, and its quite a bit odd, but I am quite undecided at the moment. I like certain points of each of the candidates, and obviously don't like others.

Chris

P.S.-remember lets keep it FL rated

What's up with McCain and his stupid air quotes? He's rapidly reaching the point where he's flicking his fingers for every other word he utters !!!

I liked Wyatt Cenac's take on the election "Indecision '08" on the Daily Show of last night (10-28-2008):

"Let's just FUC|<ING vote allready !!!!!"

It works if you're supporting Obama, and it works if you're supporting Emperor Palpatine McCain (he really does remind me of that guy). I tend to agree with Cenac. It's been too damn long. We're not gonna hear anything new in the last week. McCain and his campaign is still a dick for trying to scandalize Obama and then look all innocent when the Crats try to do it to the Repu's. Fox news is still for McCain, the rest of the media is still idiots for making every fart headline news and you already made up your mind.

LET'S GET IT OVER WITH !!!!

Link to the video below

http://www.indecision2008.com/video/...videoId=189750

Also: I think Palin is an idiot

*paraphrasing*

some day
Reporter: "Are you a feminist?"
Palin: "I'm not gonna label myself... labels are bad" (and she still happily goes on to call everybody Joe the Plumber, Rita the Ritalin-expert, Frank the Fluffer, Patricia Pornstar and Yo-Yo the Jackall. Very true to your word dumbass)

some other day
Reporter: "Are you a feminist"
Palin: "Yes I am !!!"

Plus: Where do the repu's get the nerve to doubt Obama's background while simultaneously it turns out Palin is involved in scandal after scandal, and we've only known her for 7 weeks? WHO IS SARAH PALIN??? (except a MILF)

So far McCain has taken the early lead 8 to 3. I'll say who I voted for at the end of it all tonight.

It's still too early to tell at 9:45 PM eastern time. The popular vote is real close with McCain at 16,683,301 and Obama at 16,906,691. This could go either way. Still waiting for the bigger states to report.

I am from Illinois and I think this country will be in serious trouble if Obama gets elected. Voted for the first time today for McCain.

Yeah. That's one of the things I did today. First went to a consultation with my lawyer for a deposition I have to give tomorrow, then off to the polls to vote for McCain. Of course Obama took Maine. He actually took the entire northeast USA. What the hell's the matter with these people? Singapore is looking better all the time.

McCain can still take it if he gets all the western states. California is the big one. I don't think McCain can win without California. I sure hope Andrew does the right thing!

Good job Lambo65! Of course it looks like Obama took Illinois too with 60% of the votes. That's 21 electoral votes! Ugh. I guess your state is full of idiots just like mine. At least my state was only 4 votes.

Do you know what way California was leaning before today? So far projected Obama 220 and McCain 120.

No, I was busy in the Philippines. At least they've got the Governator. Arnold backed McCain.

The yahoo dashboard is what I was looking at also. We have to wait for all the precints to report in but it does look like Barack Obama will be the next President of the USA. We also have to wait for all the absentee ballots from our people overseas. I know they all voted for McCain.
