Bart! I didn't know you were back around here! How is everything going?
And Chris, Right now I have Organic, Calc based Physics and differential equations, and Anatomy and Physiology. Orgo and Physics have been killing me. I have managed to pull out the highest grades in all 3 classes, but it is wearing me thin. Anatomy has been a breeze thus far, and I don't think I will have much of a problem with it. Physics is really rough but I am handling it well enough. Orgo is the only real toss up. However, last week we started going over the differences in lengthy Alkane chains without functional groups.
And cracking or refining those chains into usable fuels. Did you know we could crack tar or even wax down not only into lube oil, jet fuel, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, etc... but we could even turn them and any of those mentioned above into simple methane. The only difference between gasoline and Diesel is 1-2 Carbons with 2-3 Hydrogens on them each, but once it approaches that threshold it changes dramatically. So Jet fuel as a 12 carbon alkane have 3 more carbons than diesel, but is more similar to it than an 8 chained alkane or octane. Now this is the kind of stuff that is really peaking my interest. Especially since I am working on converting vegetable oils into diesel for my golf.
I do miss the Ferrari talk, but even moreso I miss the good company and conversation around here.
