Tires

I decided on the Bridgestone Re050 pole positions to repalce my out dated Vredesteins (which I loved). So I'm waiting for my new tires and waiting...waiting. Finally, after 2 weeks of "they'll be here tommorrow" the Bridgestone Firestone store calls and says "your rears are on back order, theres only 1 in the country, your name is on it and the next available one". Crap...The last thing I want is another set of difficult to find tires.

Next, he says, we can set you up with the Bridgestone Re760. They're cheaper and just as good. I star a little research and fine that they are Ultra performance all season tires. Not quite Max performance summer tires like requested. My problem is now do I shell out nearly $500 more and go for the Michelin Pilots like everyone recommends, Wait for the Re050's, shift to this all season tire, or switch to my original 3rd choice of Goodyear Eagle F1's.

Anyone have any experience with the Bridgestone Re760? Am I just being chicky or do they sound like a downgrade to you also?

Dammit, I need these friggen Pirelli's off this car. They SUCK.

Go for the Pilots and get on the road. You only have a little bit of good driving weather left.
