When is The General Erection Taking Place?

Dear Comrades particularly those in our American colony,

When is the general erection taking place to elect a new precedent, please?

With kind regards,

Vulcan

Wasn't that when Bill Clinton was in the Whitehouse? wasn't his motto "Make love, not war". Unlike Mr Bush.

Dear Comrade Vulcan,
The presidential election will be on Tuesday, November 4th.
January 20 is inauguration day when John McCain will officially take over as President of the United States of America.

I soooo hope not. He'd die on the first day in office. Plus he'd suck at being the president. After all... he's republican and republicans have always sucked at being president in the last 100 years.

Pete, it seems to me that outside the USA the republicans aren't the choice of the majority (I can assure you that's the case in Brazil)

I prefer the democrats myself, so I hope you're wrong, but time will tell

Yes but the US President is not elected by the popular majority in either the world or the US.

The US President is elected by the Electoral College.

Hmmm...I'm going to need you to start naming great Democrats because frankly, I can't think of one. The person in the oval office is always the lesser of the 2 evils presented to the American electorate by the political machine. If measured by leadership quality, you have to consider Regan and Kennedy. If measured by accomplishment, I'd think about Roosevelt or Eisenhower although I think Roosevelts "New Deal" was the spawn of Liberalism and entitlement presently dismantling or way of life.

Saint B. you are right to say that there weren't many great democrats either, but at least they sucked a lot less than republicans. I have to admit that I'm partial to democrats though. I always feel that republicans are either dirty players (See Nixon) or incompetent (Bush) or throw dirt too much (McCain tries this, but seems to fail miserably).

I just like democrats more because they seem to care about something else except JUST the usa.

Hench the problem...They are not paid to care about anything but the USA. Regarding Nixon...his accomplishments and legacy's far outweigh his election strategies.

except now that we had 7 years of the idiot Bumbling Bush, a lot of countries aren't that friendly towards the US anymore. It's quite OK to care a great deal about the country that has elected you, but said country doesn't not do business with a lot of other countries, nor doesn't it not have diplomatic relations with other countries. The usa is not just the usa, but a tangled web of influences that are by the way outsourced to Mexico, India and China... so in my opinion it's quite unfathomable why Idiot Bumbling Bush does not have great relationships with other countries. He's given them all your jobs. Too bad he has also either offended or bombed the hell out of them.

Since even his mother has stopped, I would go with impossible.

At least George H.W. was a very competent president.

Its too bad that George W has ruined it for Jeb. He probably would have been quite effective.

Dear American Comrades,

This green and sceptred isle of England - The Mother Land, would be perfectly prepared to accept the return of the United States of America into its fold, but, would you be prepared to accept our prime minister Gordon Brown and his conclave?

With kind regards,

Vulcan

Dear Comrade Boxer,

Indeed, this may yet happen, for Margaret Thatcher was within the company of Mr George Bush Senior only of very recent times when he was fishing on the River Test at Stockbridge - a small but inordinately picturesque town betwixt Winchester and Salisbury. Naturally, they stayed at the same hotel (Lainston House) but of course within different rooms.

With kind regards,

Vulcan

Could you imagine the progeny - a cross between Mark Thatcher and George Jr. You would end up with a Mercenary that invades oil rich countries.

Right, Regan only cared about the US. Go watch the tear down this wall speech.
