Oulton Park track day

Went to Oulton park on Wednesday.
Brilliant day out.
Managed to get rides in five Ferraris including some stunning laps in an F40 driven by F40 racer John Pogson - words can't describe it, but I can now die a happy man.
Over 60 Ferraris, not all on track.
Here are the five I went round the track in.

Looks like it was a perfect day. How was the ride in the 430 GT ?

It was interesting comparing the F40, 360 challenge, 360 CS and F430.
The F40 was raw and brutal.
The 360s were similar to each other but more refined than the F40.
The F430 was a step up again, amazing power and grip.
You could tell the age difference between the cars as technology improved.
The F40 won hands down on entertainment value.
But then I'm talking to a man who should know what I mean.

I was there too (not on track apart from cadging a ride in Hazy's Stradale during the parade laps). Shame I didn't know you were there as I would have said hello.

I saw that giallo Koenig F48 / 348 a few weeks ago on the M1 in Nottinghamshire. I didn't realise what it was and thought it was a bad attempt at recreating an F40.

Sorry I missed you Jonathan - would have been good to put a face to the name. I was the idiot with the crazy grin after my ride in the F40. I've got video of the parade which I'll post later.
Archie, the F48 was tame compared to the other rides - more a tourer than a racer.

Anyone who doesn't own a Ferrari should get themselves along to a trackday and blag a passenger ride or two. I even got a crash-helmet for my birthday so I wouldn't have to borrow one this time.

It was a great day. I went in the Red CS (Adam's car) and his mate who has a black one.

I have never been on a track before, all I can say is that these cars are unbelievable, they defy physics. It helps to have good drivers and both Adam and Mark are.

Wait till you get a chance to go out in a car on slicks.
