Most expensive gas in the world

Here's an article I came across showing the highest and lowest prices of gasoline worldwide. http://money.cnn.com/2008/05/01/news...ex.htm?cnn=yes
Eritrea is the most expensive place in the world to buy gasoline at $9.58/gallon. Kind of odd when just a little boat ride across the Red Sea you can get gas in Saudi Arabia for 45 cents per gallon. Venezuela is the cheapest place in the world to get gas at 12 cents per gallon. Norway and the UK are number 2 and 3 for the most expensive. The USA didn't make either list. At $3.45/gallon we are number 108 for the most expesive country in the world to buy gas. Of course it is going up, yesterday I filled the truck at $3.75 and it cost me $77. In Venezuela it would have cost me $2.50, in Eritrea it would have cost $196.50.

That is absolutely absurd And I complain about $3.85......well $0.12 a gallon That just makes me mad. I wish I could fill my tank for a bit over $1. 1-800-COLLECT....forget that a gallon of gas down in Venezuela, instead of a phone call

That figure is wrong for the UK. I calculate it as follows:

As of 21st May 2008:

A litre of unleaded is 1.13
4.54 litres to a gallon = 5.13 per gallon
1.96 USD - 1 GBP = $10.06 USD per gallon in the UK

A gallon of diesel is even worse $10.95.

Britain is officially the rip of and high tax capital of the world.

A quick calculation of the Danish price results in a $ / Gal. price of 10,80........
(For Shell V-Power 97)

Forget UK as a tax rip off - Denmark have all the records !!!
I.e. the tax on cars of 180% (on top of the 25% VAT) etc. etc.........

Best regards

About two weeks ago I read somewhere that while the oil may be expensive in dollars, because of the excange rate (the dollar is pretty worthless compared to the euro) we now should be paying less money per liter (usa, go metric!) than ever when accounting for inflation. But we're not. I'm blaming the oil companies. I believe Exxon earned 3400 dollar a second in 2007 to make a total profit of about 3,5 billion dollar. And they have the nerve to place adds in the "The USA today" explaing how a dollar spent on fuel is divided where they claim that they make no money whatsoever. Absolute bonkers !!

have you tried them all?

I've only been to Spain and Sweden from your list, and I did find incredible girls there

I'd add Brasil to the list, also

My vote is for Finland for the hottest European girls. For Asian girls I think Vietnam has the hottest girls. In North America I'd have to say all the hottest girls are in California. I can't speak for South America, I've never been there.
