About two weeks ago I read somewhere that while the oil may be expensive in dollars, because of the excange rate (the dollar is pretty worthless compared to the euro) we now should be paying less money per liter (usa, go metric!) than ever when accounting for inflation. But we're not. I'm blaming the oil companies. I believe Exxon earned 3400 dollar a second in 2007 to make a total profit of about 3,5 billion dollar. And they have the nerve to place adds in the "The USA today" explaing how a dollar spent on fuel is divided where they claim that they make no money whatsoever. Absolute bonkers !!
