Happiest and saddest moment in your life?

What are the happiest and saddest moments in your life?

Happiest - buying my Ferrari 328
Saddest - selling it

Seriously, lots of happy memories - the birth of my 2 children, getting married, my kids make me happy every day.

Not many sad moments, and nothing that is worth dwelling on. I try to remain positive and happy all of the time. Life's too short to be miserable.

Archie, when did you get rid of the 328? I hadn't been around much these last couple of months and don't recall hearing of it leaving your possession.

The happiest moment of my life was probably me getting accepted to the University of Detroit Mercy.

My saddest moment would have to be March of this year when my grandpa passed away.

I sold it about a month ago. Short term cashflow problems due to the worldwide credit crisis and collapse of the housing market. Hopefully there will be a replacement prancing horse within the next 12 months.

You should go for a 550...I mean, the whole family needs to fit, right?

A 550 is on my shortlist, but it only has 2 seats, although that is perfect for me and my son. My wife doesn't have any interest in cars - she drives a Nissan

A 2007 Micra, it's a little bubble car, I think it is 1100 or 1300 cc. Do you get them in the States? Since she bought it in January, it has been 80 miles since, she is still using the same tank of gas the dealer put in when she bought it.

Happiest recent one was graduating, getting engaged to the woman I love and getting the job I wanted (it all came at once, so it counts as only one moment, before you accuse me of cheating )

Saddest... Hum, maybe when I found out my brand new notebook only has Windows Vista and it sucks? Not too many sad moments here in the south, thank God!

Oh man Windows Vista...yikes. When I bought my tablet notebook from my school I had to pay more to downgrade to the XP.

No, we don't get them here in the states. If I put 80 miles on a car since January I would go crazy....although look at the amount of money you have to spend on fuel

Too many happy moments to pick one, although my wedding day last July sure stands out!

Have had some sad moments, but Archiegibbs said it best; "...nothing that is worth dwelling on. I try to remain positive and happy all of the time. Life's too short to be miserable."

I've been blessed a lot, and I am thankful, and try to spread it to others.

I know how you feel, I got a new notebook last month too, and it came with Vista. I really don't like it, and I hate Windows mail. You can't run Outlook Express on it either, so I have to revert to using Outlook via MS Office, I still don't like it as much as Outlook Express. Yes I am a dinosaur.

Happiest: Still thinking it through... but for now it has to be during last year's vacation when I got to drive up, and be on The Roof of the Lingotto factory in Turin, Italy.

Saddest: Getting down from The Roof of the Lingotto factory in Turin, Italy, knowing that I will probably never ever get up there with a Fiat 500 ever again.

The saddest moment was 9/12/2001 when the shock wore off and I started to comprehend what had happened. I remember the feeling of complete despair almost as if I had lost a family member (I did not) and the knowledge this would be the worlds priority for the rest of my life. It was the first glimpse down a tunnel with no end in my lifetime. Very similar to my feelings of dread in the 60's practicing duck and cover in elemetary school.

The happiest moment is far more difficult to gauge. There is no specific moment that stands out above all others. Perhaps then my happiest moment is when I take the time to bask in the glory of simple contentment for the things I have. I feel lucky to have been rewarded for my accomplishments as a husband, a father, and a citizen.

Ohh...and I'm pretty happy shifting from 2nd to 3rd at 7800 rpm's
