Hello Thomas!

I´m a BIG watch enthusiast. I don´t have any big collection to talk about.

My "daily driver" is a Sjöö-Sandström Racing Chronograph.

I like brands like Panerai, Parmegiani, Richard Mille, IVC, Cvstos and Frank Muller.

The watch that I would like to have most of all is the Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa.

Anders,

I am not familiar with this brand of Chronograph you have. Could you post some pictures and maybe some info about it? =)

I am not familiar with Cvstos either. I checked out their web site which is under construction and I really like what I see there. =) Can you tell us anything about that brand?

There are easily over a 1,000 brands of watches with new ones coming online each day it seems. I would love to find a site that lists them all but what an undertaking that task would be! It's too much for me. =)

Best Regards,

Thomas Carey

I don´t have any pictures! But i think you can find some on Google.
It´s a swedish brand, and this particular model is developed with Bofors-parts (the quite famous arms manufacturer). The watch is a hand wounded mechanical, and when you "flip" the top a realy high-tech quartz-chrono (the same as used in some of Bofors rocket launchers) shows. Famous owners of the watch is former Ford CEO Jack Nasser and the swedish WTCC driver Richard Rydell (who drove a 550 at Le Mans with Pro Drive a couple of years ago).

Glad you liked Cvstos. It´s a quite new brand. And it´s founded by the son of one of the executives at Frank Muller.

Hello Thomas!

I first heard about it last summer, when a friend of mine bought one in Barcelona. He just like myself is a big fan of Richard Mille, so when he was looking for a RM, he spotted the Cvstos (rose gold black dial yellow detailing) and got a realy good price.

Best regards,

Anders

I think posh watches are bling. I hate bling. I have a timepiece to tell time. It's a Lorus Sports something. It tells time and it was a gift. Money is better spent on a car like the Fiat 500 or on hobbies like RC

Thank you. I'm not a fan of any other jewellery, but I do like Swiss watches. I won't be buying anymore for a while as I'm saving up for another Ferrari.

I agree, a really kickass watch is not bling. A 2 inch gold chain with a clock on the other hand...

I somewhat agree. ONE good watch that you can wear every day (like I do) is not bling. But owning five or ten is just overdoing it. The only reason I have two watches is because the other one is a Star Trek watch that is a collectible for my ST collection

No it's not I have many watches. My wife collects shoes and handbags so I collect watches. I have to make sure that my watch matches my outfit for the day (or matches my wife's handbag or whatever she is wearing too). So I have brown, tan, blue, black and steel strapped watches with white, oyster, black, silver, blue faces, the sub dials are also a variety of colours, and we have a variety of arabic and roman numerals. They are all different and serve a purpose for different occasions - honestly
