Thinking of hiring a Ferrari ?

This afternoon (22nd Apr) Blackbushe airport was closed by a bad car crash at the north of the airfield on one of the disused runways.

Two guys who had hired a Ferrari for the weekend had decided to take it for a spin on the disused runway and crashed at 85 MPH rolling the car over a earth mound with the car ending up inside the airport perimeter.

Luckily both guys got out with a few bad cuts and bruises.

Take a look at the 2008 Ferrari with only a couple of hundred miles on the clock as it leaves the airport….

Oh yes Very very very nice site. I love idiots who wreck exotics. When you own a big bucks car like that, you want to drive iit at a circuit at high speeds. Sure it's OK to use it as a daily drive, but then you gotta respect the speedlimit. Exotics drivers don't very often do that (personal observation)

That is absolutely horrid. Poor was of a great (previous) looking car.

hmm....Basosz that is quite an interesting take on the accident...but I guess to each his own

More expensive to restore it than to buy a new one; I hope that rental service had good insurance.

Its ashame that people can't treat others possessions with respect. People wonder why it cost so much to rent an exotic car for a day.....well this is a sad example in why it does...

How do you explain to your insurance company that you had a collision with an airport runway ?

Saw a guy at a trackday let his teenage son drive his 456.
Inexperience saw him floor it out of a corner and lose the back-end.
More inexperience saw him come off the power, lose it the other way and smack the barrier.
The car disappeared off to a car wash and reappeared later clean but slightly bent.
I bet the insurance claim didn't involve either a trackday or the teenager

I can top this, I witnessed a guy let his daughter (how had just gotten her license the week before) drive his F40 on a trackday.

Credit to her, she did not do anything stupid but still puttering an F40 around a track at 30 mph is not a great idea.

Wow, I can't believe that someone would let their inexperienced child drive their Ferrari. Of course if my dad had a Ferrari I'm pretty sure I could handle it
