Happy St. George's day for any Anglo-Saxons among you (or indeed any Maltesers who also share our Saint, and Turks from where the brave dragon slaying hero originated from).
Unfortunately in this world of political correctness gone mad we are not allowed to overly celebrate our national day in case it offends minorities who also share our country's over stretched resources.
Just wondered what Saints other countries have and what their special qualities were?
Happy Saint Georges day to you too Archie and to all English where ever you might be. Yeah the old political correctness has certainly gone mad. Why shouldn't we celebrate our saint. With all due respect it is our country after all.
Did anyone hear the rumour that the Red Arrows weren't going to display at the 2012 olympics as they have "military overtones" which might upset some countries regarding Britain's past !
You've GOT toe be kidding me... the Arrows are absolutely brilliant. They are a very wanted guest at just about any airshow around the world. And now they figure they're militaristic? Anybody who says that deserves to be shot in the neck !!!
Tifosi... I know all that... but The Arrows are fabulous. Patrouille de France is also present at every event in France and they are about as militaristic as a wet towel. Plus... they're french cheese eating surrender monkeys. The Arrows fly Hawks. Hawks are trainers. Concerning the name... they may be The Royal Air Force... but they're the Red Arrows first.
And yes... the annoying people should be shot with an Arrow.
