A rookie is learning

I am just learning how to drive my car. Last night I think I did something right. I was driving on a freeway going about 65 in 6th in the middle lane. Looking in my rear view mirror I saw a Porsche in the fast lane. I dropped first into 5th then into 4th while keeping my speed up. When his front end was even with my back bumper, I started to accelerate. He gunned it. Well, so did I. I was in the correct gear and put him to shame. Hooray.

The more I drive my beast, the better I love it.

FERRARI forever.

I guess you are learning! Me too. I am used to the low revving American V-8's. Took me a while to get used to the fact that the Ferrari engine thrives at revs American engines can't even get to.

I have found that I should be in one gear lower than what I think I ought to be in. If I think I should be in 4th gear, I should probably be in 3rd.
