I'm sad to report the passing of a friend and fellow 355 owner..
About a year ago I received a PM on Fchat from ttanner (Tim Tanner). He asked if I would be his mentor to help him learn about 355's. He owns 2: 1996 Couple and 1998 F1 Spider. I was flattered to say the least.
So, Tim and I became friends. many, many email exchanges. I only spoke with him a few times but the man was the nicest person - very, very generous. Just a great, great man.
Recently he sent me parts from his 96 to refinish and then just a week ago he sent me parts from his F1.
I sent him a text on Saturday, followed by a few emails and calls to his cell. I knew something was wrong as he was normally very responsive.
Last night his sister replied to my text and told me he passed away suddenly.
I'm in shock - Tim will be missed.
