Hear! Hear!
The best one I got was when they couldn't fly the airplane because the bulb for the exit sign was extinguished. After about 4 hours they were like, "We can't find a replacement bulb so we are trying to locate a different aircraft."

I was like, "Wait a second, you can't come up with a light bulb, how do you figure you can come up with an entire airplane?"

Nope, I'd flown all the way from Singapore to Los Angeles and Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey on my way to Portland, Maine. I'd already been flying for like 18 hours and I got stuck for over 6 hours in Newark waiting for them to find an airplane to replace the one with the blown out lightbulb on the exit sign.

I seldom fly so I do not have those annoyances. I did have a 3 hour delay once to London, but that is my only problem so far in 4 flights.

I fly about 20 times a year so my odds of having problems are significantly greater.

Unfortunately I am on a "bus with wings" about once a week.

The way in which service levels on air travel have been gutted over the last 10 plus years, I really do feel like it is no different from riding a packed bus these days.

The worst is when you have a strong headwind... takes a plane about twice as long to fly from Barcelona to Amsterdam than the other way around when that happens.

Also: It's very odd to step into an airplane wearing summerclothes and not thinking ahead to the weather at the destination. Quite annoying when it's subzero where you're going
