Gumball 3000

So, guys, what do you think about it?

I think it´s cool (very very dangerous, but amazing, too cool!)

Why don´t you put your Ferraris there on the rally??

I would if I had one (and I WILL when I get mine!)

I agree with Boxer - if I had a Ferrari I would not do that with it.

I wouldn't even do that with the cars I've got !!

Gumball 3000 is very cool and if I was rich......would be a definite must...but the 60k entry fee is way out there.......

Wasn't it 30 or 40k? And the normal discount to existing gumballers...

Well, Actually, Its 69,200.00$ US and for me in Canada it 80K CAN. Same price as a 348 on the market today. 40K is GBP

Its very expensive for a rally

well, I don´t think money is a problem for the gumballers...

most of the cars are VERY, VERY expensive, and most of the participants are VERY, VERY rich

just like I´ll be in a few years

What's included for the 60-70k? Hotels and breakfast and stuff? Or is that an expenditure that you have to take care of yourself?

Pretty cool race though.

all the food, all the hotel (5 stars, all of them), and the partyes

in the 2006 edition, also transportation from Europe to Asia, and then from Asia to the USA

they´ll drive in the 3 continents

There's no way I'd win, so why couldn't I just race them for fun without entering?

The cars that drive alone and speed get big tickets

But when a large group of cars are together like 8 or more, they stop everyone and let them off with warnings and tell them not to weave in and out of traffic. Also as long as they are not going top speed either. Cops also think its cool to see all those exotics.

I watched all the videos...pretty cool ! And the cops are not too bad either.

Too bad about one guy, he got pushed off the road by a non gumballer. Did enough damage to his BMW that it had to be towed on a flatbed.

One cop was really funny in Texas that pulled over some guys from England who were really speeding in their Ferrari. He had gun drawn and screaming at them to get out of the car and when he gave the cop his license and registration...you just hear…England ??? what the hell are you guys doing here in Texas ??? And he let them go with no ticket !

it´s not always like that, magnum6464

in the 2004 edition, when they got back in Spain the police was really mad with the gumballers

they stopped pretty much every car that had stickers and took them to the PD, they all had to pay tickets

the problem is that they passed thru Spain when they were heading to Marocco, so when they got back to Spain (now heading to France), the police was already prepared (and angry)

look for videos of the 2004 Gumball, it was amazing, much better then the one that was only in the USA!
