Mercedes. We've currently got a '99 E300TD and it is a real nice driving car. I test drove an E500 about a year ago and really liked that car also.

Maybe I should go back to my 5 car garage list and add the SL600 for $150k.

A Maserati 3200 GT year 1997 costs 220 thousand Reais here in Brazil (about 96 thousand US Dollars), and that is less than a brand new Audi TT (250 thousand Reais, or about 109 thousand US Dollars)

I would buy one if I had the money

The first expensive car I would buy would be a 1997 Mercedes SLK, for about 90 thousand Reais (40 thousand US Dollars)

the next would be the Maserati 3200 GT

and the next would be a Ferrari 355

but I would not keep them all: buying one means selling the other

Now, I voted for the Porsche 911. Why? Because to me, the "next best thing" after a Ferrari would be a Porsche. I love that brand 8)

DEFINATELY the DB9. You guys have to be nuts to want anything other than that car (aside from a ferrari of course)!

Everytime Ive been in a porsche I feel a little cramped, just not my thing.

Maybe instead of the M5 we could choose the M6?

I drove an M6 and a M5 recently (both new cars). Between the 2, I would definitely take the M5.

Really? On paper the M6 looks very appealing. But you definatley have the upper hand, having driven both. Ill have to take your word for it.

I donīt like the looks of the new M5 very much

on the other hand, the M6 is, in my opinion, the best looking BMW ever

I actually prefer the lines of the previous M5 to the current.

If the 911 Ruf were an option I would probably have choosen that. Having been in Jimmy's I can say the car is awesome. Unfortunately we didn't get to open it up as we were in Tokyo.

I wish I had photos of his car. Every Ferrari owner here would be proud. As you approach his car you clearly notice the yellow Ferrari shield on the white body. I guess its to let you know the car has friends at home too.

I chose the DB7 because it'sa fabulous car. I was very tempted by the Jaguar XKR because that is also a fabulous looking car.

However... How can someone choose the, or rather ANY BMW ?

They should shoot their head designer in Bavaria. The whole range of recent cars were ugly as hell (IMNSHO). Maybe they drive very well... but they still look like they came from santa's ass

Basosz, I agree with your verdict on the latest BMW designs. Awful.

I like the BMW Z4, the M3, the M6 (and 6 Series), and the X5 and X3

but I think the M5 (and the 5 Series), the 1 Series and the 7 Series donīt look good

the 3 Series is not good, but itīs not bad: it just doesnīt have any spice...

The Aston Martin seems to be a real favorite. In case anyone is interested, here is the link to the DB 7-9 section on Aston Forum:

I like Mercedes, dont know why, kind of like a fly to a light....But if I had to choose something else, because it was forbidden to own a Ferrari, I would buy a 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, its an amazing machine.
