Trucks

Stile - Alpine mentioned how my truck was big. I had a couple buddies stop by today. Big truck convention. Two 3/4 ton Dodges and a 1/2 ton Ford.

Yeah, they say, "The bigger the truck, the smaller the penis".
I have a very large truck!

Oh, and you can't yell about "American's and their V-8's". The only V-8 I've got is in the Ferrari (Italian) and it's the smallest displacement of all my cars. The Commando is a V-6, the Mercedes, the Dodge and the Jeep CJ7 are all inline 6's.

Pete, It must be a very strange sensation going from behind the wheel of a large truck to the 308.

Why are they called trucks? They're just (big) pick-ups. To me... a Truck is a Mack, Scania, Peterbilt or a DAF (dutch product... really, REALLY good) or something like that... but not a normal (slightly extra-) ordinary car.

Why are they called Trucks?

when I learned English, I was told that what we call "picape" in Portuguese is called "pick-up truck" in English

or just "pick-up" or just "truck"

maybe thatīs why

Exactly what stile - alpine just said.
What you call a truck Basosz, is what we call a Tractor Trailer, Transfer Truck, or a Semi.

And, to answer FunkyJunc, that my friend is a Ford F650 Super Truck.
But...that one was still a baby truck...have a look-see at her big sister...

Is it true that the problem with a pick up is that each weekend a friend needs it to move a refrigerator, get a water heater, or move?

Since I do not currently have a truck...I get called in to be the muscle that moves the stuff.

then you're better off owning a truck. With that you can at least hand over the keys and get back to bed. Even if it's 7 am :P
