Scaglietti Corvette

This is an absolutely fascinating piece of both Italian and American automotive history. Apparently Scaglietti was commissioned by, among others, Carrol Shelby to rebody 3 Corvettes.

Wow!!! That looks like something that you could only dream of. Such a beautiful piece of art... Of course, would drive every Sunday or so.

I don't share the opinions voiced. I look at that and think what a way to F up a 59 Vette fuelie. Does nothing for me at all. The lines look out of proportion. Interesting story though.

If you are going to tell someone how to remove a bolt you should at least know which way to turn the wrench.

I saw one at the Marin-Sonoma Concours a couple of years ago. Stunning in the flesh!

You know, I kind of like it.
But then, I don't look at it and think Corvette.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Great article. It's not surprising that Carrol Shelby sought to bring two brands together, as this is what he did best (imo). I'm not sure if i like the hybrid better than the original, but I do like it. One of my hobbies is scale model building. I'm tempted to Frankenstein a couple of kits together so i can add one of these hybrids to my collection.

Cheers

Enjoy the journey so much you don't care how long it takes to get there.
