OffTopic.. How to be financially successful?..

So this is my first time posting here and I know my question is off topic but its something I would really like answered. I view someone who can afford a ferrari (so long as they are not in huge debt) as financially successful.
Being 17 I don't have much experience with money or ferraris but i have sat behind the wheel of a testarossa!

Back to my question.. How to be financially successful. I do not want to have money for the sake of buying expensive items, I see money as a measure of success and thats what I want.. success. Hence the question.
Do you have any tips?
I'm particularly interested in stocks and owning my own business.

Thank you for taking the time to read this off topic post!

Work hard towards your goals. Don't waste your money. Don't make risky investments.

Try not to equate money to success.

I am totally sick of all of these people with convictions. I hope,of course, all goes well in this situation but it won't be the last time.

Now back to those rich heiresses .......

Not this question again. Do a search and you will find all the answers you need, and probably none of the answers you want.

David - sorry to hear about yet another maniac.

Doug, you are bad.
Very bad.
Your stocking will be filled with coal this year.

What's your daughter's name again?

(Just kidding, but probably scared you for a brief moment)

Back to OP:

I'd suggest that you get a good education, find something to do that you are passionate about, set goals, take care of your family and fund your retirement, then start the search for your Ferrari.

Also, try to help those less fortunate and perform random acts of kindness throughout your life. That will be the most rewarding, even better than driving a Ferrari..

Money isn't as important as your family, friends, and good health.

I think its great you are asking the question. We have in fact given answers here before if you search. Being as you are 17 you will find that just putting a small amount of money away now will make you very wealthy by the time you are 40 and will start you on the mindset to wealth.

I believe it is all in the head and has little to do with how much money you have. I see poor folks come into money and they usually end up poor again. I see folks that have made money lose everything and they just do it again.

Extremist views have resulted yet again in further deaths of more people. Fortunately, it was not a greater number of deaths but still the families of two people are shattered by this madness.

I'm beginning to develop an extreme view on people having extreme views, AND I don't like that.

David.

Just got ten copies of The Millionaire Next Door book for Xmas gifts for college age friends. I will probably start and finish reading a copy tomorrow.

OP, get yourself a copy on Amazon.

David.

David, I developed an extreme prejudice after 9-11. One of my favorite clients lost his entire staff on the 97th floor of WTC South.

I'd met and briefed many of the people who died. I think of them constantly. One was his secretary, Michele Lanza, a single mom and beautiful person. There was a famous documentary about her and her son here in the US. She and I became friends because she used to live nearby, in VA, before moving to NYC.

I'm sorry for the AUS people today.

Thanks Al,

I will look at this later today.

I am heartened by the realisation that for every evil nutbag in this world there are multiple thousands of great people like you.
