Good news is the 4C will be fully depreciated and selling for about the price of a booster seat on the 308 for the kids to drive it.....gathering you are not in a wheel chair by then....... [sorry, haddddd to rub it in]

bright side is, this 4C might just qualify to expand into a 8 in your spare time.

Probably, the spider version forthcoming is more attractive (for myself ?).

PS. I may be mistaken but isn't this model a collaboration with Mazda ?

Jimmy, the upcoming Spider is the collaboration with Mazda. The 4C is all Alfa, for better or worse

Ciao Jules

Current Italian Bellas:
95 Alfa Romeo 164 LS, 1978 Fiat 124 Spider
Sometime in the Future: Red 308 GTS

It's a great car. I've had a Launch Edition version since June and it's a keeper The quality and reliability of Alfa has come along way since their US market departure. I've owned quite a few and not had any issues with them. The biggest failing has been the lack of direction from successive management teams and continual delays with new product. Hopefully next year's Giulia will prove to be a turning point for their mainstream models.

Jimmy,

There is a spider version of the 4C coming next year. The 4C is the closest thing I think we'll see to a modern Dino and is a lot of fun to drive.

The spider that was a collaboration with Mazda is no longer going to be styled/badged as an Alfa but will wear Abarth branding instead. It has been decided by Sergio Marchionne that Alfa's are to be made in Italy though there were rumours that the forthcoming small Alfa SUV may be made in the US.

Iain, thank you. It is great that you have high marks for 4C. In many ways, AR 4C is an attractive car but one cannot find an opportunity to test drive one. I would have to take your wisdom for that.

Enjoyable YT comparison, but a bit sad to see and hear a Dino ....

Right now, I am thinking (casually) of Alfa Romeo 1962 Giulietta spider or 1967 Duetto spider. If you have any thoughts, I am all ears.
