Thanks Bob - I'm just fine. Hope 355GTS is too.
Fortunately, I don't work in London any more, I'm just outside. I made a lot of phone calls yesterday though to make sure all my freinds that do were ok. Thankfully they're all accounted for.
A number of them had to walk many many miles to get home though as just about all the transport systems were shut down. We also had a good few people at work, that live in London, get home very late indeed.
In a way, people like myself who lived and worked in London a few years ago, during the time the IRA were operative, are used to this kind of thing. Sure, it's a different enemy today - but a few years ago, bombs going off in London was not that unusual. I once heard 2 in 2 days - one of those was literally just across the street from my office!!
At the time, it seemed like every 5 minutes you would get thrown off the tube, or chucked out of a bar/cinema/train station because some idiot had phoned in a bomb threat which had to be taken seriously. We've not had to put up with that for a few years, so it will be a real shame to go back to those times.
I don't mean to sound like I'm making light of it - what happened yesterday was thoroughly evil - but we've been there before (for a period of decades) so it's not something that will make a great deal of difference. Brits, and especially Londoners are a pretty hardy bunch.
