I just got back from a wonderful experience.
Today is the Fourth of July. In my country, it is a reason to celebrate with fireworks. We had spent the day with my brother and his family. By the time we came home, it was too late to go to a fireworks show. At 9:00 p.m., most shows are underway. My daughter asked me if I wanted to go see the fireworks show at Disneyland, which start at 9:30 p.m..
I had never seen cars parking on the freeway before. We made it to the Harbor Blvd. off-ramp signal where we turned left and stopped in the middle of the road. Until the end of the show, no car moved on Harbor Blvd. and the Santa Ana Freeway was barely moving in either direction.
I saw the display from the center and top part of the bridge. I was closer to the launch site then the guests at Park. Gee, Disney does this nightly, but for the Fourth, it seems better. Never before, I have seen a cube in a fireworks show and it was free.
The funny thing is traffic was a nightmare after the show. My daughter simply followed the lane we were in which turns into the proper onramp to home.
