A Tragic Drive

Two nice guys died at the California Speedway driving a Porsche V-10. I was thinking of going to the speedway this month. Maybe not.

12 cylinders or walk

That sucks. You know racing is dangerous, but you always think it will happen to somebody you don't know. It is frightening when it gets close :-?

*searching for a positive side to this tragic story*

Only the 4th and 5th death since the track opened in 1997. That's a pretty good track record

once every two year is a pretty decent average for a speedway.

Not that that is any consolation for the families of the people who died though...

The driver and owner of the cgt was an active member on many forums (including fchat and 6speedonline and more) and the other was the owner of a merci barchetta that overheated earlier in the day and was considering a cgt. very sad
