possible new homepages

I'm redesigning the homepage as I think some key parts of the site are getting overlooked when first entering the site. Here are a few mockups:

I would be interested to hear what everyone has to say.

I prefer the 4th link and would suggest the "recent Ferrari topic " column could be bigger to include more threads.

Thanks for the feedback Tony. That is certainly the layout I'm going to use. Not sure why I even have the others listed anymore.

Good suggestion on the recent topics. I could bump it up to 10.

I prefer one with the modelssection, 1ith those 3 options because I think that gets overlooked. IMO you can drop the recent thread link because I think almost everybody visits the forum anyway

In the first design I was thinking of a Yahoo.com layout with boxes like they have but didn't finish it as I wasn't liking it 100%. If I brush it up it might look better. So I kept the box idea in mind and tweaked it for the next designs.

The only thing that I feel is missing is a box or portion of the page that can be updated weekly highlighting something new. For example on Yahoo's website the second box today is Travel, I think on Friday it was movies. I'm considering doing something similar, perhaps where the Buyer's Guide box is and have that rotate daily with other content (Monday = Guides, Tuesday = Shops, Wed = Photo Gallery) etc to keep the homepage fresh. I'm starting to like that idea actually.

Bob,

I agree with what you are saying regarding the forum topics and considered what you said. That is why I put them at the bottom to give them less presence.

I think 13 maybe the new winner for me and possible with a different color blue for the navigation bar at the top.

I made some final tweaks and I think this maybe the new homepage and the new website layout at the top.

I'm in to orange... #FF9933

 but I don't think that matches your site.

I also like the bleu colors #336699, but it already looks like your use this. Last one I like is the green #669999, but I also believe this one doesn't match the site...
