Here is a link to a good article on the history of Italian Highway Police cars, including the Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2:

hm, i know, i got flashed today
i think i was doing something around 80-85km/h and it seemed that you could only do 70km/h there
so that's gonna be a 180 fine

That isn't so bad...

I have been caught speeding (with my little fiat :-? ) going about 155 km/h... ...Max. speed is 120km/h, so I'm 35 past the limit. After correction I'm looking at a 30km fine... ...I have no idear how mutch this is going to cost!

Damn radars...

I don't get why people hate those radars...
You were speeding, it's against the law, you knew that, so stop crying.

*rant*

I have my drivers license for 7 and a half years now and I never joined the radar hating club. I think it's a belgian thing. 60% of belgians don't want to live in Belgium. I have no idea how that connects with the radar but I wanted to say it anyway.

I've been spotted at the Groningen Ring for doing 74 when 70 was permitted and it cost me 60 guilders back then. That's about 26 now (28 dollars). I was doing 70 on almost every piece of the Ring because there were these cute little signs that indicate the speed limit on that particular piece of road. After passing a traffic light I never saw the new 70 sign so I did 80 (according to my speedometer). All my fault... I should have paid more attention.

But I never complained about it. I took it like a real man (unlike Dirk... who's a complete sissy) and I paid the fine. Now it's just a somewhat amusing story.

My point? Simple...

Dirk... You're a SISSY !!!

When you're speeding... even if you don't know you do... you ARE responsible. You just should have looked better. And don't blame it on the License

I never said you wouldn't pay the fine. I just said that you should stop whining about it like a little belgian girl.

Oh by the way... who cares that that particular road was a 90 road a while ago? I don't... You should always pay attention to the things that surround you. Still your fault

And about my car: I don't have one. But I sometimes take my mom's or my dad's and even my mom's car can go 100. In a 30 zone that's still a bit too fast.

I normaly stay close to the speed limited. I haven't been caught for over (almost) 2 years, but this time I was late for a meeting and my boss told me to get there a.s.a.p.....

He's paying half the fine :green:

Last time I got a speeding ticket was July of 1997. I was in a line of cars all going 15 mph over the limit. But I was the only one in a convertible Mustang with the top down; so obviously I was the one most in the wrong so I got pulled over.

my "last" speeding ticket was in 2001 or so
so i'm guessing that i'll be getting another one next week

and Bas, i know it's my fault, and i just don't care about it, i kinda hate cops
well not the person itself, but their attitude about speed camera's and such, it's all they do nowadays, they spend more time on that, since they can make money of it, instead of actually looking for real criminals.
granted they are busy with it, but not as much as they should IMO

But Dirk... you're not a police officer. Nor are you involved with the duty roster for the police. Nor are you informed about the number of crminals that the police arrest every year.

My point? You don't know what they are doing when they're not busy trying to give you a ticket.

It's only outside appearances what you "know"...

LOL my dad is a cop... ...but after a year at Bosnie (last year) he's now doing office (investication) work.

btw. How long will it take for a ticket to arrive? I still don't know what I'm going to pay...
