My date for the Ice Gala

A big charity event was held in KL on the Thursday of the Malaysian GP weekend. All proceeds went to the Tsunami Disaster Fund. There was another concert to follow on that Friday night and some of the International stars and bands were also in town and were invited to the Ice Gala.

I took this photo with Carmen Electra.

Still can't believe she married Dennis Rodman. Pretty cool that you got to meet her.

Too Cool!! How was Jackie to meet in person? He seems like he'd be a down-to-earth kind of guy.

Great to hear! Thanks for sharing. How about Carmen, was she cool too?

I was just thinking, aren't you in Malaysia? What is the deal having an "Ice Gala" less than 100 miles from the equator? When you hear the term Ice Gala you think of someplace like Canada or Norway (or Maine). Someplace where ice occurs naturally. Not Southeast Asia, where all the ice must be manufactured or imported. People in Malaysia didn't even know about ice until some folks from America brought some over. They said, "Wow! This is Cool!" (pun intended).

BTW - do you need anymore ice? I've still got some on my lawn. But you better hurry, this is a limited time offer cause it's goin' fast!

You seem to move in some pretty high circles, have you ever met the Raja or Mr. Badawi?

Did I just properly address him? I always get confused when dealing with Muslim names (my western upbringing). Was I correct with Mr. Badawi or should it be Mr. Ibn Ahmed Badawi?

Carmen is cool too. Very sporting, making time to pose with guests.

"Ice Gala" was an evening of very expensive dinner with star spangled guests from all over the world. The proceeds were for the Tsunami Disaster Fund. Why it's called Ice Gala was the whole decor was made to look like a winter wonderland. For us that's something very different since we don't have winter!!

As for the King, royalties, PM and exPM, yes I've met them all. Their children are my friends. Enough said.
