Congrats. It is a great camera. Most of the pictures I have posted in the Garage section were taken with a D100 and I understand the D70 is even sharper.

Congrats Chris. Getting the camera is just the beginning, wait till you're tempted with the different lens for it.

Thanks guys. Yes, i know drew. In fact, seeing Drew's Lime Rock photos was one of the many things that prompted me to choose the D70.

I can't wait to use it.

Yes, I have been using mine for about 3 years now. Have a couple of different lens for it. One recommendation is get a large memory card as you will find yourself taking 5 times the number of pictures you used to . Prior to the D100 I used an old F2. Bit of a change....

well, I choose Canon, so I went for the 20D, together with a 24-70/2.8 and a 70-200/2.8 lens, and a 1.4x converter. I hope that will get me some good results

Awesome, I'd love to hear how you like it. I'm thinking about one as well and should stick to nikon so I don't have to get rid of all of my lenses.

aspecially if you want a nice set. I now have 2 lenses, a 24-70/2.8 and a 70-200/2.8. If I would have bought the originals of Canon they would have cost me 1200 euro each... So I bought Sigma's, they're a little less in quality, but heck, those prices are just plain crazy!
