Valentine One:

Passports are also good, but I think the above is still the king of Radar detectors.

That's what I've heard as well. It'd be my choice.

Valentine One for sure. Go for the best, otherwise the money you saved by getting a cheaper one will be gone when you get a ticket.

My friend says (regarding radar detectors)

Quote:
Nothing is illegal until you are caught
They are totally illegal in Australia, but that doesnt stop many people having them...

I hear the police have police radar detector detectors.

Maybe someone could invent a police radar detector detector detector :P

But yeah, Valentine one make the best one.

Expensive though $$$

You don't have to worry about them finding it though with this hard wire install!

I'm trying to find out how they did it. I'm assuming they put in a see through mirror and wired/secured the LED readouts behind it.

Very slick!

You could always keep to the speed limit... that kind of negates the use for a radar detector...

Speed limit here is mostly 100-110km/h

It is a shame as there are not many places where you can let cars do their thing.

Good point, and a German would look at all of us and laugh that we are even talking about limits.

Italy did raise the speed limit to 150 kph in some areas not to long ago. Maybe there is hope that others might follow. No reason most of the highways in France and Spain could not be 150+.

yep, france has amazing good stretches of highways, well you have to pay enough for them to drive on there, where you could easely drive 150-180km/h for a long time

and am i glad that i can be in germany within about 1.5 hours :green:
