Pictures from Monza

At the risk of sounding like a Ferrari advertisement -- we had yet another amazing visit with Corse Clienti last week. We spend last Tuesday and Wednesday at Monza in our 599XX, took Thursday off, and drove at Fiorano on Friday. Pictures and video are trickling in, and I figured I'd share them all in one thread.

Monza was easy to learn, less easy to master, and very very fast. A 5km track with a laptime of just under 2:00 says it all. On the front straight we'd see 182-185 MPH, just before braking down to about 35 MPH for Variante Goodyear chicane. The brakes glowed like yellow blowtorches. There were two 100+ sweepers, and many long straights. Christine was 2 secs/lap faster than I at Monza, mostly because she was willing to push those 185 MPH braking markers to 170m - her instructor dubbed her "the Queen of Late Braking" - but telemetry shows she also carried more speed through the sweepers.

Unbeknownst to me, Shmee was at Monza to capture the fun. Unbeknownst to him, he was filming my wife driving

And a few fun pictures tell the rest of the story...

Great pics! Out of curiosity, how often do you go through brake pads on the 599XX?

Ben- She sounds and looks great. That sound is right up there with the GTOs and P cars from the 60s.
