This was a few days ago. No one was seriously injured.

Not what I expected. I was waiting for a photo of you fishing out the side of a Helicopter!

Wow that is nuts. Looks like the helicopter wasn't too damaged either. I take it they did a soft landing in the water then bailed?

The investigation hasn't been completed but from the rumors it sounds like the tail rotor got damaged, it was a "soft" landing and the 10 people onboard were able to get into the liferaft without too much difficulty.

Bob, Neither of these incidents involved my company. Usually most of the stuff that comes across my desk is quite boring. When I do get something with some spectacular photos I'll pass 'em along.

why are helicopters dropping from the sky like flies these days.

I think i've already heard of 5 heli crashes in the past 2 weeks alone!

I'm definately not going in one. Ever again.

Was that the largest helicopter you have ever caught? Those things are hard to get and land.

They are. But if you wanna get really scared... try reading aircraft-spotting magazines like Scramble (dutch magazine). They have a section about crashed aircraft. Really cool to read how much aircraft (including Choppers) hit the ground each month/year.
