The things you don't get in the USA

http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept...pid=1002548491

This movie was better than 98% of the garbage Hollywood manages to put out yearly (Bad Boys II, etc). I wonder if this DVD will ever come with a region 1 code. I would love to get this but I don't have a region free DVD player

Anyone know how to find out if this film is planning to ever hit U.S. theaters?

Like I already told you, I saw that the movie was played here in the netherlands in a small cinema. I'm not into region codes, But I think USA has another code than europe? If so, try to fins a video shop that specializes in cult videos. I think they can tell you more.

Bob,

USA is region 1, EU and Japan are region 2, southeast Asia is region 3. I could get the DVD in Japan but that is region 2. Can't play it as I have region 1 hardware

And they haven't released it in the USA. Maybe I'll get lucky and get to see it in theathers again but it doesn't appear to be coming here. My last option is to buy a DVD copy with region free coding (illegal, but I want this movie).

Stradale,

Yes the movie has subtitles and it is good practice for listening to Chinese (although I'm told by Chinese the dialect in the movie is the old way).

I bought a copy of hero in chinatown more than a year ago. all chinese subs but i navigated through it to the movie. HK comes out with a lot of good stuff and a lot of bad stuff. They are big on computer effects as of lately. if you want a fun romantic comedy check out the korean, MY SASSY GIRL.

Hello and welcome to Ferrari Forum. Make yourself at home.

I think I saw it a few months ago in Japan. You can get Hero on ebay with english subtitles (recommended) but it is a copy of course. I would be interested in hearing what you think the plot of the movie was. I guess you could piece it all together. The key to that movie is the color. The director was brilliant in using color. If you are really keen you'll note the reality vs false based on how he does this. And to think this was his first flix (the director)
