Free screensaver!! Cheap Viagra!! Crazy Pop-ups!!

Every time I open up a web page I get another page opening up right on top of it telling me to click here to claim my prize. Look, I don't want a stupid haunted house screensaver and I already have a degree, I don't need to get another one at my own pace through some online diploma mill. I'm not looking to refinance my house and I don't want to participate in some stupid poll for a chance at a $50 gift card.

These pop-ups are driving me crazy!! Does anybody know of a good free pop-up blocker available online? I just spent $40 on a anti spyware program to try and get rid of that Trojan horse virus (it didn't work)

it's a free small program, install it and let it run.
that will probably find a few hundreds spyware's and all that stuff

if i get problems like that, that prog usually works for me to get all that crap out of my pc

great program. Even better is the fact that almost every day there is a new update available for it. All free for private use

Hahahahahahaha.......you saw this coming.

Get a Apple. They [ad-blocking, spam filters] are already built into their softwares so you don't have to install potentially more dangerous software that may contain spyware. That's right Windows never innovated a damn thing. They just rip everyone else off, then put them out of business because they are a monopoly.

I find there's not much choice nowadays but to wind-back your security settings on IE (if you use it). Disabling the auto-execution of ActiveX controls is a good start - set those settings to "Prompt" so that if you go to a site that wants to secretly load something onto your machine (ad-ware, spy-ware, etc) then you get told about it & can reject it. It's a hassle at times, but saves doing all the clean-up stuff.
