This is the right forum, but the wrong place. How about one of you Moderators move this over to the Ferrari Discussion area.
My insurance on my '79 just went down to $200 a year. I don't know what Canadian rates would be. I've had my car for 2 years now and I have spent about $1,000 on maintenance. That even includes changing the ignition over from points to electronic. Not an issue with the Mondial. I do a lot of the work myself.
The 30,000 and 60,000 mile services are the ones that get you. That invlolves changing the timing belts as well as adjusting the valves. It involves removing the engine and the price can be 3,000-5,000 USD. When you buy your car, make sure this service has already been done. Get a Pre-Purchase inspection (PPI) from a 3rd party before you buy. It will cost up to $500 but you will know what you are buying and be able to make an informed decision.
