What the hell is wrong with rolling stone. Terrorists are scum, not celebs...... Cheap trick to boost sales I'm guessing.

You guess?
That's quite an accusation if you haven't read the article.

At least read the Cliff Notes.
I think you'll find you're missing the point.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

With due respect Killer58, the question is `A Cover Too Far`? not the journalistic merits of the article within or the cliff notes.
May I ask why you haven`t registered a poll choice also?

I have felt the same way when, before the first election, Obama was portrayed on magazine covers as the second coming of Christ.

Poor choice, in my opinion.
It apparently sells, but doesn't make it right.
I agree with my friend across the pond.

Last I heard, many, many stores, retail chains, etc. are either pulling the issue or refusing to carry the magazine, altogether. As ignorant as we are here in the States, most of us who managed to at least get through high school can see that this wasn't a good idea.

They shouldn't put the bomber on the front page, in fact it's glorifying what he has done. What he did should get 0 spotlight, and only doing this is encouraging more terrorists to do the same.

Virtually every newspaper and news periodical in America has printed his picture.
The RS cover states he is a "Monster".
I fail to see how that "glorifies" his actions.

By that logic, the twin towers photos on 9/11, probably the most iconic photos of our time, shouldn't have been published because they glorified the perpretrator's actions.

Pearl Harbor. Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Loan. Lee Harvey Oswald. Jack Ruby.....

Where does this end?

I think it good to note that some of these morons can look like the kid next door. What bothers me is the fact that very few articles etc point out what morons these guys are. After 911 everyone made a big deal about how scared we should be of Bin Laden or the Mohamed Atta. It should have been pointed out that Bin Laden was a huge failure for Islam that did nothing but bring shame and ruin to the religion. He should have been ridiculed, not feared.

Bin Laden was personally responsible for the U.S. going into Iraq and Afganistan. The Taliban owned Afganistan and could do whatever they wanted. Thanks to Bin Laden all that was lost. The hundreds of thousands of Muslims that were killed in those wars and it can be linked to Bin Laden. Every Mulsim mother that lost a child in those wars should be wiping thier ass with pictures of Bin Loser. Isreal got a free pass to do whatever it wanted after 911 and all thanks to Bin Laden. The guy was the biggest loser and a complete failure and Islam now gets viewed as a religeon of evil all thanks to Bin Laden and this moron kid and his brother. You don't see Jews stupid enough to blow themselves up? If I was a muslim I'd be doing everything posible to distance myself from these morons and not attempting to somehow justify their actions.

We should be laughing at the little crybaby chicken that ran over his own brother.

I think my biggest problem with Rolling Stone is they call him a monster and they should have called him a retard that was upset becuase he had a small dick and couldn't get a woman.

That said I think the Uncle should have been on the cover for being a stand up guy and calling the kid out on the carpet.

Having his picture on the front cover, is glorifying him in the sense of what he wants, attention.

It's all about attention and the terrorist wins in this case with the cover of a magazine, it's quite distasteful -- they also win with the 9/11 photos too.
