Moto GP -spoilers

Was a pretty cool race in Austin today. Marquez rubbing his teammate Pedrosas nose in it once more by winning the first Austin MOTO GP race . Lorenzo finishing third. My take is that this Marquez will be the next Rossi for sure. He has a riding style that is a bit above the rest of the field . Today I believe that Freddie Spencers record of being the youngest fellow to win his first race in the Premier Class, has been eclipsed by the even younger Marquez. We have a nice long season in front, which should make for some absolute edge of your seat racing .

Your're right Brett. Marquez took Spencer's record today after 31 years.

What a rider to watch. No more, "you're low when your knee is on the deck". You're nobody until you've worn through the leather on your elbows....

I'm extremely happy to be a nobody, but I like watching the MotoGP although I don't really follow it. I'll keep an eye on this year's season. Good start.

Me and you both Onno. On the rare occasions I've gotten my elbow down, it was followed very quickly by my shoulder, head and rest of my body...

LOL....that sound about right to me!

A knee down was all I ever mustered on a corner I actually completed. I did manage to make a Harley work pretty well as a road-race bike, but no elbows on the pavement ('95 Dayton BotT race, I think....)
