Boston bombings

Saw the footage of the bombings at the Boston Marathon, terrible and shocking.
I hope that you guys and your families and friends in the Boston area are all OK.
My sympathies to all the victims and their loved ones.
Hope they catch the people responsable for these horrific terrorist attacks.

Prayers to all those directly affected and thank God for the brave and good samaritans/first responders. They put their own lives in potential danger trying to assist.

There are some deranged people in this world.

I have a better understanding of what people went through in London and Madrid now.

Cutter, in most countries, being armed or in possession of dangerous/lethal items is illegal. In some countries, in possession of explosives is legal but when used to create something else -- then becomes ilelgal.

Bombs are illegal, the problem is that cowards somehow find a loophole (in this boston case, a used kitchen appliance and a garbage bin) and find a way to destroy something that is being enjoyed by others to get their sick thirst of enjoyment.

I was being sarcastic. Since People kill other people with guns that should make guns illegal. funny how there was a stabbing of 13 people a couple weeks ago and nobody's talking about it.....you know why? cause nobody cares about knifes...but since Newton, every single thing that involves a gun is national news.....

While all murders are unfortunate, this one grabs the spotlight because it's a famous event which was televised.

USA is under scrutiny for the recent gun troubles they've had, which dates way past even the Virginia Tech shootings a handful of years ago. It's a bit different trying to protect someone from a gun to someone planting a device, with the latter probably being more difficult since they have to find a culprit (probably s) which as I'm sure this marathon bombing wasn't thought up the night before.

People care and no one ever forgets when lives are taken.

Cowards who act and prey upon others disgust me but life goes on which is naive to equate as accepted.

The governor and Boston mayor have established onefundboston.org for those most impacted by the incident. Many other generous corporate matching sites are also beginning to flourish. Nothing can replace those lost or repair the permanent scars. Pure luck had us not being in the wrong place at the wrong time and we will walk the same route up Boylston we often do when it reopens. We without question will also be at the Marathon next year. I cannot put words to our sorrow, anger, confusion why...

If you've visited our great city, our home, you might recognize the location. Boylston runs parallel to many well known streets like Newbury and Commonwealth which the crossing streets are alphabetical ordered. The explosions sandwiched the E crossing street.

The situation today and how it's unfolding is unreal. Been in lock down all day with a significant law enforcement presence from local, state and federal agencies. Just cannot fathom how suspect #2 is still not captured or killed. Praying for no more loss of life during this event.

Yup, my sister is in Watertown, she hasn't been able to leave her house and police searched her house. Traffic 20 miles outside the city is very light. He is 19 but apparently has very good training. If anyone knows boxing at all he trained with Mickey Ward and has been boxing quite a bit in Lowell MA. Some people I know have trained with him. Crazy crazy sh*t. Everyone is off their game here in Mass.

An MD friend broke the news two hours of first suspect's death two hours before it reached the public sphere. He's one of two friends in Watertown. Hope suspect two remains alive and is able to answer the necessary questions.

Difficult days.
Stay safe and godspeed.
