Favorite Convertible you've driven

Hey guys

was curious, now it's getting into the top down seasons, what is the favorite convertible you've ever owned and/or driven?

I currently got into a Honda S2000, and love it. light, agile (around 2,835 lbs) and 237 hp from a 2.2L inline 4 cylinder, redlines at 8,000 rpms.

other convertibles i've owned and/or driven:
Porsche Boxster S, Honda S2000, Nissan 350z, Corvette C6, Mustang GT, Mazda Miata

i have yet to drive a F car convertible but hope to correct this soon.

best drive: with my new wife 6 years ago, we drove our Boxster S, 6-speed manual, through the mountains of Tennessee, all the way down to Florida through Fort Lauderdale, South Beach, and Miami, and made it into a 5 day road trip. took turns driving. it was such a great drive

so what is your favorite convertible you've driven, and where at?

Maserati GranTurismo MC - Giallo yellow
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - black with orange accents - wife's car
F355 Berlinetta - Giallo Modena, 6-speed manual, carbon sport seats -recently traded in
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

That sounds like a blast Doc.
I've only had a 911 TT cabrio that I had for a few months and hardly drove and the F430 which I hardly drove too. God I'm a horrible convertible guy!!!!
Hopefully the 458 spider will get more use

I think, so far, it has been this.

4 years I've owned the car now, only 300km of enjoyment and almost 4 years she's been in restoration/rebuild/customisation. Can't wait for her to be finished!

TVR Griffith 500 with uprated engine (5.2L V8). 1050kg/2300lbs and 350bhp. This is quite the little pocket rocket.

Am a big fan of the Honda S2000. Went in a series 1 and was impressed by the music as we closed in on the 9000rpm redline, and even more so by the handling. Add terrific looks with an unburstable engine that loves to be revved and you have one of the greats.

Here is my convertible finished in special order Gulf orange with tobacco interior, one of 989 2.4S Targas made for 1972. Fuel injection, plastic plenum chambers for lightness, titanium wheel nuts, five speed gearbox, body coloured integral bumpers and front airdam. All in 1972! On a timed run on closed roads were were clocked at 140 mph over a standing 1.3 mile. There was still more to come. We are part way through a complete restoration. Happily the factory still supplies new parts for 1972 models. New panels fitted and repaint in original colour completed. Now time to put eveything back to together and to fix as we go along...

Wow! Great car. I know what you mean, here is a photo of my favorite convertible; I've "only" owned it for 16 years, but too many good memories to call just one the best.

Took this photo on route to a Monday business meeting in Bakersfield (a 5 hour trip via Interstate 5). Family was busy all day Sunday, so left early, drove to Pacifica, took the top down and drove along the Pacific Coast Highway to Morro Bay then through the mountains inland. Eleven hours later: Bakersfield.

The Austin Healey 3000.

One day it will be brought back to life - til then the memory of shifting in an open top will have to suffice.

It's going to be a 230 hp alloy head racer - it's been painted and every single new part is sitting in my garage.

Holy canoli, you changed cars again! What happened to the Challenger (or whatever the heck it was)?

Anyway, here's my current favorite convertible in the garage. Just got back from a thrashing around the backroads.
