I bought a DeLorean

For years, I've been tracking the DeLorean market looking for the perfect example. While the DMC doesn't have a great reputation, to me, they are iconic cars.

With a concept derived from John Z. DeLorean, the father of the Pontiac GTO, a body penned by Giugiaro, (designer of the countach), and a chassis built by Lotus, the DeLorean is an icon of automotive design.

Recently, I found an amazing example which underwent a recent $33k restoration at DMC of Houston, and knew I found my next car. I spoke with the seller on Wednesday, and bought the car site unseen.

Monday, I plan to pick her up, and I couldn't be more excited.

I will keep you guys updated with my ownership experience.

Congratulations, a real piece of the 1980's. Sometimes, you just know when a car is right. I bought a car unseen recently and it was even better than I expected when it arrived.

Luke, congrats, this is a rare car indeed. I don't think I've actually ever read much about the driving impressions. Curious to hear your thoughts on that subject when you get the time.

Luke,

Congrats on the purchase! What a great looking car. When will you be bringing it to Katie's? I'd definitely make it out to see that.

Any chance you can tell me who will win the next 10 World Series so I can start to place my bets now? Or can just bring me back a sport almanac, that'll do.

Bill P.

P.S. In all seriousness...please post more pics!

not exactly; his conviction was reversed because the government agents had 'entrapped' him; thus the government's proof was excluded, not quite the same as proving his innocence.
