This is going to be very exciting!!

I remember seeing it on FLEE, rolling out for a test run from the Maserati factory. We all spontaneously applauded it. What a nice come back for Alfa Romeo, very few FIAT strings attached in comparison to the last booooooring three Alfa decades.

Colin Chapman used to say: "Just add lightness", and that's what they've done

Wait for hot head to head tests with the new Toyota/Subaru 86... Then buy one of each!

My entire soul is happy for the 4C.

I thought the initial Geneva show car looked great. Even put down a deposit. Pulled it after waiting a year with zero information if it was even going to make it to production. Now it looks like it will be GBP 10-15k more expensive and fatter.

I think there's something wrong with the pics on the link in this thread. I've looked at other sites and there it looks a lot better...

If they make it fatter they have lost the plot! I could accept a slightly higher price just to maintain the lower weight but more expensive AND heavier is disappointing. Still, let's judge it in due time.

The original concept had huge potential, lets hope they do not mess it up

Yes, it is already almost 2 years since I've seen the concept in the flesh at the 2011 Mille Miglia. It looked nice, but I wasn't bowled over like I was with the 8C.

Unfortunately, it is in Alfa's recent DNA to make cars much heavier than originally promised. I hope this is not the way this one is going. But I'm not all that excited about it. Hopefully that will change. It would be really good to get an Alfa to get excited about again, I haven't been for 15 years (if I discount the 8C which was hardly an Alfa since it was almost as hard to buy one as a new Enzo). I notice that the blurb doesn't mention a concrete number for weight...

I keep hearing it is about 1900 pounds so it's not exactly heavy.

I think I will have to see this in person to tell whether I like it or not. Right now it looks kind of lumpy and squatty.

Ok so an Alfa Lotus Elise. Any engine / Performane specs?

Found it, Turbo 4 cylinder. For me I would just buy an RS5.

I liked the concept car design I saw at Geneva Motor Show 2011... A very nice proportion of a compact sports car compared to the 8C... I hope they wouldn't change too much.
